Dr Julia Langley
Forensic Psychologist
I am a Forensic Psychologist and have worked in the NHS and charitable sector for over 10 years. I am a Schema Therapist working towards accreditations with the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). My roles have included work with adults and children with a range of difficulties including mental health and personality disorder, substance misuse issues and complex trauma. My roles in the forensic sector mean that I have particular skills with working with risky behaviour and understanding the underlying meaning behind them.
My main therapeutic approaches come from a combination of my experience and training, and include Schema Therapy, Person Centred Counselling and Motivational Interviewing. I am keen to offer others space and time to reflect on themselves and their history, and help them to make sense of any difficulties they might be facing in life, so that they can move forwards. It is of particular importance to me that I provide a safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I currently offer appointments online.
