About me:

I have worked in the NHS for 5 years. I currently work as a consultant for the Personality Disorder pathway, which focuses on providing support, treatment, and care for individuals who struggle with personality difficulties. I also work closely with a charity that supports individuals with managing intrusive and difficult thoughts that cause them distress.

I predominantly work with individuals who have experienced developmental or long-term trauma, and with people who struggle with their behaviours to a point where it is influencing their lives negatively. These behaviours may be riskier in nature, in that they have the potential to cause harm to self or others (e.g., self-harm, difficulties in emotion management, substance use, intrusive thoughts). My therapy focuses firstly on supporting them to better understand where their behaviour is stemming from and then work on healing that underlying cause.

The main therapeutic approaches are Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT). I like to also utilise my training as a Yoga teacher to support with the more Mindfulness and relaxation-based work which I believe is effective alongside the psychological teachings. My main ethos for therapy is that it remains relaxed, non-judgemental and flexible.

I am based on Nottinghamshire and offer therapy both online and face-to-face.
